Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park announces special Jr. Ranger activity booklet for National Fossil Day

Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park piloted a new curriculum-based education program involving snowshoeing and winter ecology.

On September 9, pavement preservation work will begin on the South Rim of Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. In order to facilitate the safe and timely completion of the work, some disruption of traffic and parking patterns will occur.

Superintendent Connie Rudd of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park is pleased to announce the 2009 lottery system for the assignment of wilderness permits into the Red Rock Canyon area of the park.
